At Minnie Hamilton we believe your mental health should be integrated into you physical health. We strive to work with your primary care physician to provide the most comprehensive and collaborative care possible.
Our behavioral health team works with ages 3 and up on a variety of topics. These life hurdles may include but are not limited to: anxiety, depression, bipolar/mood alterations, grief, aggression/anger, self-esteem, stress, PTSD, marital strife, premarital, repercussions of divorce or separation, irritability, acting out behaviors in children, school issues, ADHD, parenting solutions, substance use, and medicated assisted treatment.
Our team consists of Licensed Professional Counselors, a Licensed Social Worker, a Case Manager, and a PsychoSocial Program Coordinator.
Where we provide services
We provide services in Calhoun County at the Annex building of the hospital located in Grantsville, as well as at Pleasant Hill Elementary, Arnoldsburg Elementary, and Calhoun Middle & High School. In Gilmer County we provide services at Gilmer Elementary and Gilmer Middle & High School. We see patients for outpatient and MAT services at our Glenville Behavioral Health office.
Clinic Based Therapy Services
Behavioral Health is a comprehensive and holistic approach to address mental health concerns while also incorporating an individual’s physical health, behaviors, and lifestyle choices. Treatment areas can include depression, anxiety, and grief, as well as school, home or work difficulties. Patient care is individualized and utilizes evidence-based treatments to help develop skills necessary to manage symptoms and promote personal growth. Our team welcomes everyone and strives to ensure that patients are understood and their voices are heard.

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) & Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Services
Recovery and support services are offered on an outpatient basis to individuals struggling with alcohol and/or substance dependency. We are passionate about recovery and strive to meet people where they are in a welcoming environment with compassion and respect. Medication assistance is available, but not a requirement.
- COAT – Comprehensive Opioid Addiction Treatment Program – for individuals with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), as well as co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. Medications for OUD include different formulations of buprenorphine, naloxone and naltrexone. Holistic approach that includes individual and group therapy.
- SMART Recovery – Self Management And Recovery Training – a science-based program that helps individuals recover from addiction and harmful behaviors. It focuses on empowering participants to build self-reliance and maintain long-term sobriety through practical tools and strategies.

Recovery Groups
We hold SMART Recovery groups on Wednesday evenings from 5-6:30 pm (meeting details) at our Glenville Behavioral Health office. SMART Recovery is the leading, evidence-informed approach to overcoming addictive behaviors and leading a balanced life. SMART is stigma-free and emphasizes self-empowerment.
